About Us

Terry Child Support and Youth Resource Centre (Terry's) is a national non-partisan, non-profit NGO with its head office in Machakos County, Kenya.

 

Founded in 2002 by Reverend Leah, we respond to the plight of vulnerable children who have been denied the opportunity for development due to difficult socio-economic circumstances. Our mission is to empower orphans, children, the youth and other vulnerable groups through the provision of holistic care, advocacy, networking and psychosocial support.

We want to empower the local community and remove the stigma of abuse, illness and disability, resulting in a more united population with restored dignity and power in even the most vulnerable groups.

We have a team of dedicated staff who serve the children we support and keep the centre running. We are also honored to have the support of both local and international volunteers who take their time to support the centre as well as undertaking data collection and field work in the community.
